Product Description

Hammer union seal is a robust high-pressure seal used to ensure a tight connection between pipe components in oil and gas drilling operations. These seals are typically made of durable materials such as nitrile rubber, FKM, HNBR, PTFE or others that can withstand extreme pressures, temperatures and corrosive environments.They have a unique design with interlocking components that produce a reliable seal even in harsh conditions, preventing leaks and maintaining the integrity of the piping system. Hammer joint seals are available in a variety of sizes and configurations to accommodate different pipe diameters and pressure levels.

Hammer unions consist of a thread end, a nut end, and a hammer nut that when tightened seal the assembly with the assistance of an elastomeric seal. The seal is lipped to prevent it from falling out when inverted.

Some profiles such as Fig 206, Fig 1004, Fig 1502, Fig 2002, Fig 602, Fig 1002 etc require a Hammer Union Lip Seal or an 'O'Ring depending on the Size of the Hammer Union.
