Encapsulated O-rings are specialized seals designed to address a common challenge in various industries. They combine the chemical and temperature resistance of PTFE with the flexibility needed for compressive fluid sealing. When a PTFE O-ring lacks flexibility, or an elastomer can't resist the chemicals in use, an encapsulated O-ring is the ideal solution.
The outer jacket is made of Tef lon for high thermal stability and corrosion resistance, while the rubber core provides elasticity and compressibility.
