Hammer union is a type of mechanical joint designed for quick and easy connection and disconnection of pipelines, particularly in high-pressure applications. Commonly used in the oil and gas industry, these unions are characterized by their threaded ends that are tightened using a hammering technique. The hammer union is known for its robust construction, resistance to corrosion, and its ability to handle high-pressure environments. Some profiles such as Fig 206, Fig 1004, Fig 1502, Fig 2002, Fig 602, Fig 1002 etc require a Hammer Union Lip Seal or an O Ring depending on the Size of the Hammer Union.
We produce different sizes of Hammer Union Seals in Nitrile(NBR) for standard service and in FKM or HNBR for Sour Gas Service. In addition to the standard molded rubber seals, we offer these with either a brass or 304 stainless steel anti-extrusion ring.
